Last weekend we went on a history themed walk around Reigate. Unfortunately it was a bit grey and overcast, so here are a couple of pictures of Reigate Castle from a visit last year that was a little sunnier.
We recently visited Standen to complete a trail around the gardens. These photos aren't from that visit but I thought I'd post them, from an older visit last year, before I start posting the newer ones.
I took this while waiting for a train on my journey home from London last year. I like the incredible contrast of assorted buildings, not to mention the sky and river.
It's a bright and sunny, if rather cold, day today so here's another bright and sunny photo from Chartwell. A slightly odd view but one I find quite interesting.
This collection of pictures (click on the one below to see them all) were not taken this week; but seeing as there has been snow falling, I thought it an appropriate time to share them.
This week is another photo from the gardens at Chartwell. This time it's a close up of a flower. My children and I took several photos of the flowers in this part of the garden so I'm not sure who actually took this one, but I like it.
Just in case you're feeling tempted to hide from the world at the moment (for whatever reason!), here are a few pictures from my earlier trip to some fascinating WWII tunnels under Clapham.
The Redhill Christmas tree is being put up this week, funded by the Redhill Business Guild and I think being officially switched on with the Belfry lights on the 17th November.
Hence it seems an appropriate week for a couple of pictures of the Redhill Christmas tree from last year.
Having rather overdone flowers from our visit to Sheringham in the summer, this week I'm sneaking in some Sheringham trees just to finish the collection (there might also be one or two more distant flowers too).
